My skincare routine

This is not a sponsored post. This is just the stuff I use for my skin routine.
I struggled with my skin SO much last year. It was too the point that I had terrible breakouts and my skin looked so old. I was so frustrated and just not sure what to do.

One day, I was watching a video on YouTube by a beauty vlogger that I follow.
She was talking about how she had been having trouble with her skin and had finally decided that she needed to get back to basics with her skin.

I started thinking about how I could get down to basics with my skin. I was using a "natural" face cleanser & eye makeup remover at night and a night cream. For makeup, I was using Neutrogena healthy skin makeup.

I realized that the stuff I was using was irritating my skin and not getting it clean and moisturized enough.

I figured that my makeup was clogging my pores and making it difficult to get my skin clean.
I did some research and decided to try the Almay makeup shown above. It says on the label that it won't clog pores.

I also went with the dermatologist recommended face cleanser that does not contain soap and wouldn't irritate my skin. I love what it says on the front- "provides patented controlled release of ingredients to help repair and restore your skin's natural protective barrier."

Moisturizers can either dry out or irritate my skin so I decided to go with just regular old coconut oil. It feels SO good on my face every night! I just rub in a little until it feels moisturized.

I'm still using the eye makeup remover but it is very gentle on my eyes.

The reason I'm sharing all of this is because my skin has changed drastically since changing up my skin routine.
It is so healthy, clean and free of breakouts. It does not look dry and old now.

Using simple products on my face has been exactly what it needed to heal and be healthy again!
